Yeppunonnie: The era of Korean Cosmetics in the Philippines + GIVEAWAY!

Pinays are going cray over Korean Cosmetics and Skin Care. I mean, who wouldn't be obsessed with a glowing and almost perfect skin like the Koreans have? I am one of those Pinays who have been using Korean Makeup and Skin Care as a part of our daily regimen. In this day and age, not only the K-dramas and K-pop that are being loved by Pinoys, we love our K-beauty as well!

Yeppunonnie is a brand new Korean Website that is based here in the Philippines. It means two words, "Yeppun"that is Beautiful and "Onnie"that means Sister (Beautiful Sister). I was lucky to be invited to their soft launching event last Oct. 29, 2016 and it was a lot of fun!
My fiancé and I had our fill with the snack bar full of sweets. Oh my sweet tooth was rejoicing.
They also had stations for skin care, makeup and nail art. We got the chance to watch a live makeup tutorial. I learned a lot of new techniques and I can't wait to try them on.

Yeppunonnie is now up for orders and you will notice that the currency used is Won. So you might need a calculator with you in converting Won to Peso especially if you are on a budget. The last time that I checked www.yeppunonnie.ph there are 45 items that are already available for order here in the Philippines. They also cater for subscription boxes that you can sub monthly.

What I loved the most about the event besides catching up with my friends and meeting new ones, is the loot box! I am so surprised with how much products they gave us! Will you just look at these...

Hit Or Miss? | Pink Sugar Cosmetics Review

Introducing Pink Sugar Cosmetics! A local brand here in the Philippines that launched recently. Their products ranges from fragrances to beauty cosmetics and I am one lucky gal to have won their selfie contest and received a box full of their makeup products.

First of, the packaging. It's well thought of! They have different designs and eye-catching colors. I was beyond gigglish while opening my box. And almost all their makeup products are packaged in sleek black and hot pink fonts. It is so classic, to be precise. I love it! The price range of the products are affordable. So without further ado, let's start with the individual reviews.

Honey, I'm Good Duo Eyeliner (Black)
Whether you're going for that smooth line or that "Adelle on flick cat-eye" look, this duo is perfect. One side is retractable eyeliner and the other side is the felt tip eyeliner. One thing that I don't like about this eye liner is that it's not waterproof. But the best thing is, it does not smudge, honey.

Sugar Tint Lip and Cheek Tint
The packaging is so cute! It reminds me of a candy store. This is supposed to be a lip and cheek tint but you need to be careful when using this on your cheeks because it dries up pretty quickly. It might drag your foundation off its place. But with fast patting motion, you can blend it. Just add small tints at a time. What I actually love about this product? The smell. It smells like strawberry juice! I love using this for that gradient lip effect as well.

HD Lipstick Fancy (Top Swatch) and Matte Lipstick Catfight (Bottom Swatch)
The packaging is pretty and sleek. The smell is of a strong vanilla scent and the pigmentation is so amazing. It stays put and it does not dry your lips.

Eye Candy Eye Shadow Palette (EC-01)
The consistency is creamy and it is pigmented as well. It has a combination of satin and mattes in it. I have tried doing the natural makeup with this and it has that Korean Makeup kick with it. Next time, I shall try the glam version using this palette.

Dual Finish Face Powder (Natural Ochre)
My perfect shade. It is not chalky and my face does not oil up really fast when using this powder. I keep this with me wherever I go and I so love the sleek black packaging as well.

It's Awesome BB Cream with SPF25 (Light Warm)
All hail the BB creams for medium tones! Most BB creams that I have tried has that pinkish tone in it which makes my face super white with a white cast when I use the camera with flash. But this baby has a yellow undertone in it so it is perfect for medium skinned Pinay like me. And it is matte! My skin is very oily and I love how this one sits on my face.

Our lil' Secret Concealer (Medium)
Can I have a larger tube of this? Oh my gosh. The consistency is creamy and the coverage is amazing. It just dries up really fast so you have to be quick in blending this concealer. And my advice is to use your fingers when using this so that the warmth of your skin will slow down the drying stage of the concealer.

Sweet Cheeks HD Cheek Color (South Beach)
This gives the whole look that amazing warmth and tan. This works as a bronzer and the pigmentation is good as well. If you are the type that loves to bronze up your look then hurry up and get this baby a try.

This is my natural look using Pink Sugar cosmetics! Stay tuned for my tutorial. Subscribe on my channel: Mslaviniaful

Naturactor Cover Face Review! + First Impression

Celebrities have been raving about this on Instagram and even on Facebook. So I thought, why not give it a try? And here it is!

I bought the shade 140 and the price is Php480.00. Price ranges from 450-550 online and some even offer it on a higher price. 480.00 will do so I gave it a shot. So supposedly this will give you that flawless and dewy finish. So what is my take on this? Keep on reading...

At first I thought the shade was too light for me but when I waited for 3 minutes for it to set on my face it became okay. The smell is like the Chin Chun Su cream that women use in the 90s to whiten their faces. Are you aware of that product? It is on the photo below:
Same smell but I don't remember what Chin Chun Su does. So getting back to my topic...

My skin is super oily and acne prone. I get a lot of breakouts especially on my period so it is my ultimate quest to look for products that won't break me out and will reduce my acne and oiliness if possible.

Naturactor really is dewy. It gives you that flawless effect but the problem is dewy is not good for my skin type. I oiled up within the 3 hours from the first application and I get to retouch a lot. So I would say that this product is good for dry skin because it is very moisturizing.

After 6 hours or wearing it without retouching, my face looked like an oil factory and the foundation is almost out of my face. So I can say that this is not long lasting.

There are pros and cons to this foundation which is why I will rate this 3 stars out of 5. I like the coverage because it is build-able and the finish is next to flawless. However, the dewy effect is a bit of a let down for me so whenever I will use this in the future, I shall keep it with me for touch-ups.

I have heard of the Octard product which, as they say, has a matte finish. I shall try it soon enough but I saw that it is more expensive than the Naturactor. Is there any products that you'd like me to cover? Comment down.

Toodles!

Cursed Merida | A Disney Princess Gone Bad Collaboration

Merida is one of my favorite Disney Princesses beside from Mulan. Her personality is a lot like mine. Stubborn, does not listen to her parents, Brave, and of course the unrully hair.
In the movie Brave, it was her mom that became a bear so I thought it would be fun if I incorporated that with Merida as her Bad side.
A lot of you have asked if my hair is naturally curly. The answer is YES. But I had my hair rebonded that is why I had to recreate my curls like Merida with my No Heat Stem Curling Technique.

SO here are the items that I used:
1. Nivea After Shave Balm
2. Revlon 24 hr Color Foundation
3. Catrice AllRound Concealer
4. LA Girl Pro Conceal in Ivory
5. Rimmel Stay Matte Powder Foundation in Nude
6. Ever Bilena Lip liner
7. MAC Pro Palette
8. MAC Warm Neutral Palette
9. BYS Nude 2 Palette
10. Loreal Gel Liner in black
11. Taiwan False Lashes in Natural
12. Monomola Eyebrow Tattoo in brown
13. BYS Blush in Pink
14. Lancome Powder Foundation
15. Mary Kay Lipstick in Maple
16. Wet N Wild Megalast Lipstick in 24 carrot gold

For the Special FX
Scar Wax: 1 part Petroleum Jelly and 1 part Flour
Fake Blood: 3 tbsp of honey, approximately 10-15 drops of red food coloring, 2 drops of green food coloring

AND A BEAR GIVEN BY YOUR EX.

That's it! Happy halloween!
